Gary Faigin has a long and distinguished career as an arts educator and educational visionary. The school he founded with his wife Pamela Belyea in 1989, the Gage Academy of Art, has become one of the leading art schools in the Pacific Northwest, currently offering instruction in drawing, painting, and sculpture. At Gage, Faigin offers lectures, art tours, and workshops, including classes based on his landmark book, The Artist's Complete Guide to Facial Expression. Before moving to Seattle, Faigin taught for many years at New York's famed Arts Students League, as well as the New York Academy of Art, National Academy of Art, School of Visual Art, and Parsons School of Design.
